Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2025
Arrive Chicago (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is committed to transparency about how we handle information. This policy explains what we do and do not do with your data.
We Do Not Collect or Store Your Data on Our Servers
Arrive Chicago does not collect, store, or retain your personal data on our servers. We do not use analytics, tracking, or any form of data persistence tied to your identity. Your use of the app is not logged or stored on our systems.
Location
We use your device’s location only to show you relevant transit information (e.g., nearby stops, routes, arrivals). Your location is used in real time on your device and is not sent to our servers, stored, or shared. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings.
Transit Data & Third-Party Sources
All transit data (schedules, arrivals, service alerts, etc.) is provided by third-party APIs and services (such as those operated by CTA, Metra, and other transit authorities). We do not own this data. We simply request it and display it to you. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
Sign in with Apple & iCloud Sync
Sign in with Apple is optional. If you use it, we sync your app data (e.g. favorites, pigeon progress) across your Apple devices. That synced data is stored in your own iCloud account—we never store it on our servers or have access to it. Apple handles authentication; we only use it to enable sync. Your data stays private and under your control.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
